Up into the 1970s a lot of safari travellers accessed the Serengeti Mara location from Kenya, so the realm was fairly occupied. The Serengeti – Masai Mara border was closed for non-inhabitants during the 70s and triggered a drop of visitor numbers, largely as a result of region getting much less available and outside of vital vacationer routes.
